Hey there, my name is Philip Richards Jr., creatively known as Island Filmmaker, a proud native of the British Virgin Islands and founder of the Island Filmmaker brand. Out here, we share the same passion and hunger as our mainland filmmaking counterparts, but not always the same access. So we adapt. We improvise. We create anyway. This platform exists to rewrite the narrative of what’s possible for filmmakers from places like the BVI, regions so underrepresented they’re often overlooked. All of this is made possible through my services and tools, powered by my Clarity Over Convention framework, which I’ve developed and made accessible to filmmakers who want to move with clarity, speed, and precision, cutting through the noise, and breaking past the same long-standing barriers that once held me back.
